After waking up early in the morning, you will take a scenic drive with beautiful views of rolling green hills, dense forests, and rivers to Pokhara. In the evening, you can stroll through the famous lakeside market and also go boating on Fewa Lake.
Upper Mustang Trek - 14 days Itinerary

Day 01 Drive to Pokhara (900 m) -6/7 hours

Day 02 Fly to Jomsom and trek to Kagbeni (2,800 m) -20 munities flight and 3 hours walk
After breakfast, you will transfer to the airport to take the short flight to Jomsom. You will see stunning landscape views as well as Himalayan mountain views from the aeroplane. Upon reaching Jomsom, you will begin trekking towards Kagbeni. The trail will ascend for about 3 hours alongside the Kali Gandaki River and lead you to the gateway of Upper Mustang, Kagbeni where you will spend the night.

Day 03 Trek to Chele (3,050 m) -5/6 hours
Trekking along the east bank of the Kali Gandaki river, you will ascend a ridge and reach Tangbe village. You will see superb views of Mt. Nilgiri to the south. From here, you will ascend and reach Chusang village. Crossing the Kali Gandaki river, you will climb and pass through the Kali Gandaki Valley. The trail from here will take you to Chele from where you will experience a gradual transition in culture.

Day 04 Trek to Syangbochen (3,800 m) -6/7 hours
The days starts by trekking in steep, barren land that passes along a copper red canyon. You will then descend all the way down to the beautiful village of Samar. From here, you will ascend to a ridge and later walk downhill into a huge gorge. Further, the trail passes through a valley and fields, and crosses a stream. Crossing a pass, you will descend to Syangbochen for the night.

Day 05 Trek to Ghami (3,520 m) -6/7 hours
Leaving Syangbochen behind, you will slowly climb towards a pass. Upon reaching the pass, you will descend to Geling. Further, the trail ascends through fields and ascends on tough terrain to Nyi La Pass (3,840 m). From here, you will have a long descent to reach a junction. There are two routes; one will take you to Charang and another will take you to Ghami. Following the trail on the left side, you will reach Ghami.

Day 06 Trek to Charang (3,560 m) - 5/6 hours
Today, the trail will be exhausting, as you will trek on the driest part of the trek. However, after reaching Charang, you will get to see beautiful views of the secluded countryside and rocky mountains. Charang is a fine village where you will get to see a big fort and red gompas from medieval time.

Day 07 Trek to Lo-Manthang (3,840 m) -4/5 hours
After breakfast, you will begin your journey towards Lo Manthang. On the way, you will pass by the oldest gompa of Nepal, Lo-Gekar. Lo village is the major village of this region. This village is home to lama gurus, ancient monasteries, and a palace where the king & queen of Lo Manthang reside.

Day 08 Exploration of Lo Manthang -3/4 hours
Today is a rest day. You can spend your day exploring the village. You can visit Namgyal Gompa situated on a hilltop. This is an important religious site and also serves as a local courthouse. You can then visit Tingkhar and Champa Lhakang. At Champa Lhakang, you will see a large statue of Buddha and also observe intricate Mandalas painted on the walls.

Day 09 Trek to Dhamkar (3,820 m) 7/8 hours
Today, the upper highland trail leaves Lo Manthang and provides wonderful views of Lo Manthang and the Charang Valley, with snowcapped mountains in the background. Further, you will cross Dhi Pass (4,100 m) and descend to Dhamkar.

Day 10 Trek to Syangbochen -5/6 hours
After breakfast, you will descend to Syangbochen. The trail will offer you captivating views of Mt. Dhaulagiri (8,167 m) and Mt. Nilgiri and also pass by ancient Rachen Gompa with a spring and a cave.

Day 11 Trek to Chhusang (2,980 m) - 5/6 hours
Returning on the same trail, you will begin trekking towards Chusang village. The first part of the trail will pass by steep ridges accompanied by spectacular scenery. Further, the trail will take you to Tetang, the upper village of Chusang.

Day 12 Trek to Jomsom (2,720 m) -5/6 hours
Today is your last day of trekking. While trekking through Jharkot Village, you will visit a monastery, an ancient fortress that used to be a palace, and a Tibetan Herbal Medicine Center. Further, the trail descends to Jomsom. On the way, you will see a breath-taking view of the Kali Gandaki Valley and Kagbeni Village.

Day 13 Fly to Pokhara and rest (900m/2932ft) -20 munities flight
You will wake up early in the morning and have breakfast. You will then fly back to Pokhara. Upon reaching Pokhara, you can rest for the day or explore the area. If you want, we can also arrange guided city tour for you.

Day 14 Drive back to Kathmandu (1360m/442ft) -6/7 hours
After breakfast, you will drive back to Kathmandu and prepare for your onward journey.
